CHRISTUS Shreveport-Bossier Health System has provided health care in northwest Louisiana for over 125 years. CHRISTUS Highland, in southeast Shreveport, is a general acute care hospital that specializes in cardiac and orthopedic medicine, women’s services and surgery. The Cancer Center is located on the Highland campus with an additional Cancer Clinic located in Bossier City.

Emergency Hospital

CHRISTUS Bossier Emergency Hospital, located near I-220 and Airline Drive, is a fully licensed hospital featuring a 24/7 emergency room, six short-stay inpatient beds, outpatient laboratory services and imaging services, including CT, MRI, diagnostic X-ray, ultrasound and digital mammography.

The CHRISTUS Cardiovascular Center provides the most advanced diagnostic, therapeutic and surgical techniques available. Thanks to the outstanding care provided by our cardiology physician partners, as well as our cardiovascular and thoracic surgeons, CHRISTUS has become known as a destination for comprehensive, high-quality heart care. We know and understand the impact heart disease has on not only the patient, but the entire family. And we’ve built a full continuum of services—no matter the level of need, from the simplest condition to the most complex surgery.

The Birth Place at CHRISTUS Highland Medical Center offers the Perinatal Transport Program, which provides transportation to CHRISTUS for mothers with problem pregnancies to deliver with the help of a maternal-fetal medicine specialist. Immediate care for the baby is provided in the Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The Birth Place is designated as Birth Ready by the Louisiana Perinatal Quality Collaborative (LaPQC). The Breast Center offers comprehensive breast health screening and diagnostic services in a spa-like setting.

The Bariatric Center of Excellence features two bariatric surgeons and provides complete services for weight loss surgery, including minimally invasive robotic surgery. The Bariatric Center of Excellence is accredited by MBSAQIP.

Located in the Specialty Care Center near the Highland campus, the comprehensive Wound Care and Hyperbaric Center treats patients with hard-to-heal wounds. In the same building, our Breast Center offers traditional and 3-D mammography and is the only NAPB-certified center north of Baton Rouge.

The CHRISTUS Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility offers a 16-bed inpatient facility dedicated to helping patients achieve the highest possible level of functional independence. Outpatient therapy is provided at Ashley Ridge in Shreveport and Bossier Outpatient Therapy located near I-220 and Swan Lake Drive.

CHRISTUS Home Care provides complete home health, hospice and palliative care services. The Grace Home suites at CHRISTUS Highland Medical Center offers care and comfort with dignity to patients during their last days.
